Turkish 777-300ER to JFK from September 28th

Some pleasant news to wake up to. Effective September 28th Turkish Airlines will be upgrading their daily A340-300 flight from IST to their newly leased 777-300ER. The aircraft will operate the route daily.

This is among the best possible news to what I've felt was one of the most boring international operators at JFK. Way too many red and white airlines (Turkish, Swiss, Austrian), which are slowly improving now as least with nice aircraft types.

These 777-300ERs are painted in Turskih colors, but operated by Jet Airways.

I agree this is good news. I saw Turkish A332 TC-JND yesterday at JFK and it is getting boring. Since Turkey's national colors are red and white, they will probably stay with the same scheme for the near future.

Turkish Airlines Boeing 777-300 JFK PIX

Went to shoot the THY B773 today. Its the latest and greatest in flying pencils to service JFK. But as I always say...Its something new for the collection.

Yea although I can think of a million things they could have used in that space at least they didn't leave it with all that extra space. You know with all these extra long tube flying around now, 300s, 400s, 600s 900s Q400s etc etc etc the cheatline MIGHT find it was back onto airline liveries. Just a thought for our next phone conversation.

It looks like the this 77W already has cheatline thanks to the dirt and grime. Great catch Senga by the way.

    Thanks,
Yea I noticed that myself. I guess since they already had service to JFK for years I guess they didn't care about sprucing up that puppy for yesterdays first day of service. It looks like they started washing it not gave up in the middle of the process.
