    Just arrived today: D50

Hey everyone. As a few of you may know, I finally am jumping ship. Today my D50 came in the mail, and right now, I'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to all the features. Its not the most advanced camera, but its great for a slow learner like me who hasn't had a DSLR before. My current collection of lenses is small, but It will grow with time:

    Sigma 28-90 mm
    Sigma 70-300 mm
    AF Nikkor 50 mm

I'm still learning via trial and error when it comes to shutter speeds and everything, and am really trying to get into panning (but that will probably come later.). Any advice at all is greatly welcomed :)

PS. Here's my first official picture with it: http://www.flickr.com/photos/addictedto ... 831976398/

Congrats on your new toy. Good luck with it, looking forward to seeing shots.

Shannon glad you went with Nikon! Best of luck and I love that kitty! Best advice I can give is practice practice practice. Also a good book on basic photography would be a good start. If you want any other help PM me and if I ever see the sun in AMA when I pass through we can go shoot some WN.

Nice to see ya Nik! Its been a while :) And that sounds great. You can thank Mark for me going Nikon, if he didn't let me know that my old N75 lenses were compatible with a D50, I'd probably have gone canon.

Congrats on the D50! I started out with that camera myself and I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did. Looking forward to seeing more shots!
