Bangkok Airways ATR72 Hits Control Tower

At least 70 on board when plane went off runway and hit control tower while landing at Ko Samui Airport (USM) in heavy crosswinds and rain. Unconfirmed reports of fatalities.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I have seen a Justplanes DVD on Bangkok Airways that includes a arrival/departure from that airport. Seems the ramp is VERY close to the single runway, I think at one end, a little like St Barts, without the crazy approach.

RIP to the Captain, sounds like everyone else will survive.
