Happy belated fourth to everyone. A little trivia for everyone. What date was the Decleration Of Ind. Written on?
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
It wasn't written in one sitting Ryan, it was written and changed over a course of time estimated to be two or three months.Originally Posted by hiss srq

The Continental Congress voted to declare independence from Great Britain on July 2, but the actual wording of the Declaration of Independence was approved on July 4.Originally Posted by cancidas
And after spending 7 hours waiting for the fireworks on Saturday, I'm just glad they didn't do it in January!

I was lucky enough to be back in the city on the 4th this year. Unfortunately the fireworks were on the Hudson this year which meant I couldn't go up to my roof and watch them; but still made it out to the river and got some front row seats thanks to a few people...
What a show it was this year! Great feeling to be an American!
My suggestion for future July 4ths: Get a 2-ship of B-1s and fly them at 50' AGL over the Hudson with full burners to kick off the event! That would be a show!
HOO-AH to that! will we have 2 B-1s by this time next year?Originally Posted by USAF Pilot 07

On this date in 1776, the Liberty Bell rang from Independence Hall to signal the first public reading of the Declaration. It had taken a few days to get the final draft printed all pretty-like.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
