Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
It's a Yemenia A310, and it's in the ocean. No word on survivors.

wow this is a horrible year for airbus. My thoughts are with everyone affected
Vice President of Comoros tells CNN that boats have reached the wreckage and there are "no signs of survivors." Three bodies have been recovered. RIP. :(
Also, number on board was raised to 158, 147 pax and 11 crew.

There are actually reports of a child survivor.
I am trying to find the flight number. I also read that they found a young survivor. Also, it seems that the tail # is 535.
Speedbird1, 535 is the Airbus CN, the tail number was 7O-ADJ.
Here is a detailed history of the actual aircraft.

Let me add my RIP to the victims and lets hope the young survivor, who is a 3 year old toddler survives their terrifying ordeal. Many of you may be to young to remember the NW MD80 crash on takeoff at DTW where the only survivor out of 150 something was a 4 year old child.

I was shooting in LHR on June 28th and I got 7O-ADJ as it approached 27L. What a coincident.
Great/sad catch.

Reportedly weather was pretty bad at the time and I read that two years ago the European Union began investigating
Yemeni Air due to safety concerns.

Like Gotham Spotter said, Great/ Sad catch on one of its last flights. Perhaps this is the last known photo of the aircraft before the crash.Originally Posted by JZ1
