OOOPs, CDC says you really dont need to close schools. This flu isnt any worse than the regular flu we have every year. Schools are starting to reopen tomorrow.
    So sorry!!!

    Closing the schools was unnecessary.

Considering the potential threat this could have posed, I think it was the right decision.

If they just contained the sick people and cleaned the school it probably wouldnt have gotten worse.

But people who have it sometimes don't know they are sick for a few days (as many as 4 days), so they wanted to keep people away for a bit.

I understand that these schoosl were going to open regardless of the CDC's findings today.

Probably the first good cleaning the schools have had anyway.

So I walk into the office today to see a bunch of people wearing masks..of course my sarcastic personality rolls my eyes and in my head I'm like "what asses." I open my email and the first email that pops up.....three confirmed cases of H1N1 have infected some people I work with. I'm still not going to wear a mask though.

Slather your entire person with hand sanitizer and you'll be fine. You'll also be very flammable.

This place is a scene out of The Office right now....all you hear is people spraying Lysol, walking around in masks and wiping down everything within reach. You know the funny thing about the boobs wearing masks...they take them off to drink and eat...the stupidity amazes me.

Re: Welcome to New York, Swine Flu

It's not even that strong of a flu... I live 8 miles from Mexico, and while we have had some confirmed cases on this side of the border, they seem to be all under control... People are freaking out way more than they need to - guess it gives the media something to talk about.
