ASA/DL CONX Grounds 69 CRJ's
Due to some sort of engine inspection needing done ASA has grounded 69 CRJ's today
Approx 207 cancellations
Updated from 1015 Call –
·****** Awaiting more results and analysis from ASA on how much will need to be covered
Updated from 0500 Call –
·****** ASA reports 15 A/C checked with 18 engines – 12 of 18 engines passed, others under review with GE
·****** 207 cancellations minus 28 already covered within DC
·****** Projected 7 A/C short @ 2000 this evening
DC Covered Flights:
·****** 10 by OO – 3 additional A/C enroute to ATL + 2 already in ATL
·****** 6 by 9E
·****** 6 by F8
·****** 6 by OH
Thursday Projected Coverage:
·****** 9E – 1-2 A/C
·****** OO – 5 total by mid morning
·****** F8 – 1-2 A/C
·****** XJ – 1 CR2, 1 CR9, 1 Saab
·****** RP – 0 available
·****** OH – 1-2
·****** CP – 1 (through CVG)
·****** S5 – 1 DCA, 1 potential for IND but unlikely
Call on 3/31 – 20:15 eastern
63 A/C requiring boroscope attention
27 A/C have 2 engines with remaining only 1
ASA initially requests 9 lines of flying assistance
Carriers stated they have potential (not certain) coverage with the following -

OH - 1 (CVG// 2-3 if you include the red-tail flying with XJ/CP/9E back-fill)
CP - 1 (DTW)
S5 - 2 (DCA)

XJ - 2 (Saab from MEM, CR2 DTW)
NW - 1 (DC9-40 from DTW)

Thanks mmedford, I am working our COEX division, but all I know is I am getting all these emails from the DL bigwigs asking for spare aircraft, etc
