Wow not a good 48 hours for air travel... Even this morning an ERJ went off the runway in Istanbul, Turkey. Four major accidents in 48 hours, I can't recall that ever taking place before excluding 9/11.

Very strange. Not only did local authorities receive reports of a crash, which of course could have been wrong, but the Air Force itself said there was a crash, according to CNN.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Re: C-17 Crashes in Texas

Sounds like C-17 was on a low-level, someone saw said C-17, C-17 went behind a hill, said person came to wrong conclusion that it must have crashed...

Interesting how CNN was reporting that an Air Force spokesperson confirmed that the aircraft had crashed. Either CNN really wanted to be the first to break the story and is providing false information, or there is a really really bad Air Force spokesperson working at Sheppard....
