Probably carrying the brass that attended the USS New York commissioning. Lots of top Navy folks on hand, as well as Sec of State Clinton. I imagine that once the ceremonies were over, they all needed to head back to work.
Moose, yeah I figured that out driving home when the radio news reminded me of the USS New York commissoining which I had forgotten about.

And Sergio, 711HK landed on 31 around 1500 and departed about an hour later. Sorry you missed it as that scheme looked extra nice in the bright sunshine.

Airtran's Colts 717 was in LGA tonight, saw it sitting at the gate while we were outbound to SYR just after sunset.

Also not necessarily new...but a Republic E190 in Midwest colors landed at about 2140 local...and I threw up a little bit.

    Good stuff.

    Also, welcome aboard. :)
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I think many of us kind of get that feeling about them and those. I have heard that flying 190's for Republic is like owning a Ferarri with no engine. looks great but you wont really ever go anyplace.

Crappy weather, but a nice subject at LGA today...parked next to N Force One is N720MM, a BBJ belonging to MGM Mirage. Also saw the Colts 717 waiting to depart 13, about 1240PM.

    Looks really good.

I was told about the repaint by the man himself. I met Petr Nygard last week. Shot his Store opening in Time Square.

That's all they did? It doesn't look like its worth the drive to get it again now that I see a close up of it.
Looks better than the old colors though.

    Re: Daily LGA Report 2009

Saw the 727 from the M60 today but did not know who's it was. It departed 13 around 2100 lcl Thur night for RST (Rochester, Minn). A co-worker pointed it out as it was rotating and in the dark all I could tell was 727 and Blue tail. Personally I like it. big improvement.

Two other notes. It arrived 2 days ago from Brunswick, Georgia which it was just reveleed that it where is Trump had his repaint so I assume that is where it got sprayed and this is its first trip in the new scheme.

Also the only reason most people go to Rochester, Minn is it is the home of the Mayo clinic so hope Mr Nygard is ok?

Oh and Dashtrash you need to come upstairs to the Ramp Tower and say hello ! Nice shot !

    Cheers

Saw it getting ready to leave, only 376 is visible on the tail, so it should be C-37B 166376 from VR-1 "Starlifters" out of NAF Washington (Andrews).
