I think the east coast buses have CFMs, while the wests have IAE.Originally Posted by Delta777LR

Geez I find that interesting, I would have thought that everything would have been together, IAE, CFM engines being used by both east coast and west coast US, although I did hear that USAirways is based in Arizona since the US/AW merge. I would have love to see a USAirways bring in an IAE airbus version but I dont see that happening.

you are correct. those airplane are being delivered to the west side to be flown by west crews.Originally Posted by GothamSpotter
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
I'm guessing these planes were ordered awhile ago, before the merger?Originally Posted by cancidas

Yup..must have been an old Am West order.
I never knew that America West even placed an order for A321s before the merge..Originally Posted by Wingzero

Thats right! Wow im getting rusty lol.
Looks like US Airways found that the V2500 powered ex AM West birds perform better than the CFM powered ones, judging
by their big IAE order!
And I always thought that the V2500 kinda sucked because it seemed like we were changing wayyy too many a few years
back in my airline.
