    USAirways A321 with IAE engines?

I might be going nuts right now but recently USAirways recieved an A321 N507AY with IAE engines. Just found the picture here

I think the east coast buses have CFMs, while the wests have IAE.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.

Geez I find that interesting, I would have thought that everything would have been together, IAE, CFM engines being used by both east coast and west coast US, although I did hear that USAirways is based in Arizona since the US/AW merge. I would have love to see a USAirways bring in an IAE airbus version but I dont see that happening.

you are correct. those airplane are being delivered to the west side to be flown by west crews.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

I'm guessing these planes were ordered awhile ago, before the merger?

Thats right! Wow im getting rusty lol.

Looks like US Airways found that the V2500 powered ex AM West birds perform better than the CFM powered ones, judging
    by their big IAE order!

And I always thought that the V2500 kinda sucked because it seemed like we were changing wayyy too many a few years
    back in my airline.
