So much for the spirit of wanting to work together

This is quite simply poor taste

A shame that some people can't have a little class, even at a Presidential Inauguration.

Very true. It was classless and these folks have gotten caught up in the celebration to an extent that they have failed to catch Obama's message.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Exactly Mr Mario! To say the video pissed me off is an understatement, the level of disrespect has simply fallen to another level.

That's the kind of people you attract when you turn the inauguration into a f***ing rock concert/awards show.

That music they played just before the swearing in really annoyed me as well...it's like they are trying to make the movie of Obama's life while he's actually living it.

I am hopeful that Obama is successful, and it is great that we elected a black guy. But the problems we face are far too serious for us to start carving his face into Mount Rushmore before he has actually done anything. And if he fails, it's not an exaggeration to say the country will simply no longer exist in its current form.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Yes. I gotta tell you Mike, I was never a Bush hater, but I definitely found many of his policies out of line with what I would have wanted. Quite bluntly, I did not vote for him b.c my thinking at the time was that he was going to go back to Iraq to finish what his father didn't. And he did.

But I've watched Bush in his lame duck last days and do think he's a good guy. I found his seeing off on the chopper and on SAM/AF one or whatere you call it, to be very poignant.

I am hopeful that Obama is successful, and it is great that we elected a black guy.
Careful there Matt. So right wingers say he's not black, he's biracial.

I hope our new CIF does well and hits the ground running.

Wondering though.....seeing all those presidents in the Oval office last week had me thinking....anyone want to take bets on how long Obama's hair will go before it goes grey/ white?

Good gawd no! A President ages quickly, seems like for every year in office, the President ages 5........

    Gotham,

Very good point about the inauguration being treated like a rock concert, & the media kept pumping it up and you almost feel like you had to go....

There was over a million people there....do you think there may have been one or two morons in the crowd? As for the inauguration being treated like a rock concert...lets drop the BS. We were excited for the change in power and I'm glad we celebrated as we did. The money that was spent on it went directly into our economy. So for once can we not nip pick everything we do?

I agree and that's what I think is sad. Put aside the inauguration for a second and think about what really took place today....Our country came together to celebrate together. We haven't been able to do that in a long time but today we did, that's what was so great about today. Our country came together to celebrate a new leader and a what we all hope is a successful future.

    Tommy

It was not one or two morons, it was quite more than that, otherwise it would have not been picked up

What is sad is that this large group of people ignored the wishes of the President & ruined the event...

This is an event that takes place every 4 years & historically, the events have respectful, first time that I saw something like this....

I thought that people that stood in line for hours braving the cold actually wanted to be part of a moment in history, & not act like a bunch of punks at a minor league baseball game that had tooooo much to drink.

Mike do you really think this is the first time an exiting President was boo'd before??? Come on.. I love you but this is a non issue and has nothing to do with bipartisanship as you apply in the thread title. Its a bunch of yahoos and nothing more.
