    106 PaveHawk Down In Afghanistan

Todays Newsday reported that a PaveHawk from the Westhampton 106th Air Rescue Wing crashed early Friday in Afghanistan while
on a medevac mission but THANKFULLY there were no casulties, but nothing about injuries. NO other info was forthcoming and the AF is investigating.
Hopefully our NYC Aviation member Nick is fine.

NY Times and Reuters are reporting one dead in the crash. :(
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
