    What else is at SWF?

Anyone know if the Congo 707 or Nigerian BBJ are going there?

Presumably the Russians and Ukrainian AF will go to Andrews and the Germans to Dulles?

It was great for this newbie to meet a few other spotters today who I'd previously only known as their handles here.

And a good 35-40 minutes after she landed, I was on the A train heading to work in Manhattan. I looked out the window while we were between Broad Channel and Howard Beach, and saw 28000 over on (I think) Quebec:

Iran president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will speak at the UN tomorrow, so I would expect his Iran Air 74 will be arriving tomorrow morning
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    It arrived last night.

In terms of SWF I know the Privatair 767-300, Kuwait A310, MEA A330-200, and a private BBJ are there. It'd be great if Congo came up!

Turkish A319 is parked at FRG (Sheltair) again.
Does anyone know if they are doing the TSA checks at FRG for helicopters entering the TFR like they did last year?

    Re: UN Week 2008 Begins

Thanks for sharing these photos. I wish I could have got out there but I have no car and the last time I took a cab, they changed runways so I got stranded on Rockaway Blvd. I went out Sunday instead to Yankee Stadium where the public was supposed to be given a free tour. It turned-out that only ticket-holders for the last game were admitted. What a bummer. I got a great t-shirt though. Have any British VIP aircraft landed? No mention is made of any British flight. Did you guys know that Iran Air used to have a daily flight using a Boeing 747-SP from Tehran? It stopped flying to JFK about the same time that the Concordes started coming so I never saw one in person. The only SPs I remember here at JFK were RAM, South Africa, Saudia, UAL, TWA, PAA and AAL. My boss flew on an SP and kept raving about the service. Please be on the look-out for an IL-96, flight SDM 9005 which might come to JFK. Good spotting!
