CNN Nitpicks Palin's Jet on eBay Story

There have been a lot of doozys, but this is probably the most ludicrously biased article I've ever read from a mainstream news organization.

So there's a line in Sarah Palin's convention speech where, talking about how she wanted to get rid of the state's luxury biz jet, she says "I put it on eBay."

Someone, probably a disgruntled state employee, seems to have blown the whistle to CNN on this matter of utmost national importance: the plane was indeed listed on eBay, but was sold through a conventional broker!!! STOP THE PRESSES!

CNN found it necessary to devote a 340 word blog post to this non-story, implying that she lied. She never said she sold it through eBay, only "I put it on eBay." There's no lie. The point of her story was not to praise the virtues of selling things through eBay, it was to stress that she's a fiscal conservative...she sold the jet because it was an expensive thing her predecessor bought that the state just didn't need. They also make a point of saying it was sold "for a loss" as if that were her fault. Of course it was for a loss, it was a used plane!

You're right, she didn't lie about putting it on E-bay, but it seems McCain was a bit confused. Friday morning at a campaign rally, McCain said ""You know what I enjoyed the most, she took the luxury jet bought by her predecessor and sold it on eBay, and made a profit."

Oh, well that's what I get for reading stuff like this at 3:30am. :)

I can see how libs would jump at it to turn in into a lie whereas I read it as a bit of a joke.

She is a good presenter, speaks just as well as Obama and injected humor where she could to try to relate to people as she was unknown.
