    JFK 8/15/08 Warning 30+ Pics

22L Rockaway Turnpike, under the 13L lights, and around the airport. (Was chased around the airport by some customs officers, really annoying.) I was trying to get the A380 at around 3PM but it went to 13R and I missed it because of the officers :(. Oh well...

Is that BA 744 behind the triple hangars? Wonder why she's parked there...OTS?

It is normal for BA to have an extra 747 on the ground at one point during the day, which I think they bring back out for an evening departure. There's no room for parking at their terminal, so Port Authority will assign them whatever spot is open, which is sometimes behind the triple hangars.

Ah, did not know that they hardstand a 744 at JFK. Thought all of BA's aircraft did immediate turns. Thanks for the insight Phil, any other aircraft hardstanding at JFK for several hours that we should be aware of?

There's a lot of hardstand sitting at T4, but much less beyond that.

This poll is getting interesting! 4-3 in favor of liking the A380 here in NY. Very intense.

Last summer it was common to see Royal Air Maroc and Alitalia park their aircraft by the end of the UPS cargo building. I believe Delta also uses the old Tower Air terminal to park aircraft.

I've also seen Delta aircraft (both mainline and regional) parked next to the fuel farm along taxiway Quebec, and mostly on the cargo ramp near taxiways Romeo/Sierra, across the way from where Evergreen (formerly Polar Air Cargo) currently parks.
