Wife has to work tomorrow and son is going to play with a friend for the day....weather permitting (and it doesn't look too bad for tomorrow)....I think I'll head to the Holes at KMIA tomorrow (11am - 3pm) - anyone in the area want to join me?

Lucky catch on that AA bird.... Question, the Arrow Air DC-10, is that a 10 or 30 because I never knew that they had a series 10 in their fleet....

You got the Mythbusters plane!!!! (N700CK)
Very nice pictures.
This Arrow Air is DC-10-10. Its very hard to distinguish -10 from -30. The easiest one is DC-10-40 because they have humps on engine number two.

easiest way to tell a 10 from a 30 is the extra center line landing gear on the 30s
Overheard on JFK TOWER - S Turns are fine, U-Turns are bad....
Great shots Mark, lots of good stuff you got there.
Nice stuff! I actually like the El Al 762 the best!

Forgot to add in the above...it was a great day spent with 3 new friends - Santiago Escobar from Columbia (moving to Dallas), Orlando Suarez from Venezuela and Roberto Collazzo from Miami (he's the one that knows Senga and a lot of others)...told them about the boards - hopefully get some new people on - if you guys do make it....it was great spotting with you yesterday!

Exactly, that is the dead giveaway. No DC-10-10's have the center gear, all DC-10-30 (and 40) series have it.Originally Posted by Ari707
To answer the next question, the center gear was added to distribute the extra weight that the 30 & 40 series can carry.
