Is this one of the SJU routes AA dumped?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Good for Jet Blue, first they succeed in playing down American in Puerto Rico and now it seems like they are going after American Eagle!

Re: JetBlue Launching First Intra-Caribbean Route: SJU-SDQ

AA is dropping their Mainline SJU-SDQ flights, currently 2 757's, (where recently often full A-300's) but increasing their Eagle ATR-72 service from the current 5 to 8 per day. Over the years several Domincan carriers have served the route, most recently defunct Air Santo Domingo with Trans Meridain 727-200's. As recenly as two years ago you could fly the route 3 days a week on an Iberia A-340 operating either MAD-SDQ-SJU-MAD or MAD-SJU-SDQ-MAD depending on day of week.

    Cheers
