    My amazing new CHEAP lens!

I dropped my Tammy 300MM and Tom was kind enough to lend me his old Tammy and I was
happy at the airshow. I had to replace it and got the new redesigned Tamron 70-300 DI
Macro and I am floored with the quality. The really funny part was I picked it up for $135.00
Locally and now have 6 years of warranty...and service is LOCAL!!!!! :borat:

Here is a 100% unedited picture...

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    That's heat haze I think.

Looks like you got a good deal, Fred.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Cameta Camera on 110 south of Sunrise HWY

They sell it for like $160 or so, but I found it on Amazon FROM CAMETA CAMERA for like
$134? I called them and they said they will honor the internet price and had it in 45 min!

I liked my old 70-300 but it had a lot of purple fringing at the 300mm range...this is a little soft at 300mm but no more it seems than the Canon 70-300IS that my friend has. I think besides the IS the lens's are ALMOST equal. The auto focus may be a little slower than the canon but it is right on and does not hunt like the old lens (even that did not hunt much).

The new verson has a plastic hub connector instead of the old metal ones....but the quality of image made that a non issue REAL QUICK. This is NICE and I can not see looking up to the 70-300IS that I wanted. I NO LONGER WANT THAT LENS PERIOD! I AM HAPPY AS HELL WITH THIS LENS! EL CHEAPO that does not know it is not good glass.

Fred, I'm convinced you could take great photos with a home made pinhole camera.
Nice find, and good luck with it.
