    Canon EOS Rebel XT Help!!!?

    Hey all

I got a small problem with my camera, I was taking some pictures today and I happened to get a message on the display saying (ERR 99) I looked behing the censor and noticed one of the shades was damaged.. Any way that I can get repaired. Or now how much it is to get it repaired?

Any help would be useful.. Thanks

Do you leave the camera uncovered for a long period of time when removing the lenses or cap? It's not easy to injure the sensor like that.

When you say "shade", what exactly are you referring to?

Hey Sergio, just look at the camera manual and try to find the shade you are refering to.

I've been reading around, ERR 99 appears to be a Lens issue.

Sergio, not sure what shades you refer too. I've gotten 99 several times. What I have done was turn off the camera, take out the batteries, remove teh lens, reattach it and turn in all back on and it was all gone.

So I never had a need to search error 99 but I thank Stuart above for the link. I'll read up.

can you take a pic with your old camera, in the macro setting and show us what you mean?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
