Ex-Press Spokesman Slams Bush in New Book

Scott McClellan doesn't pull any punches.

    Some interesting tidbits:

*Bush rules by his "gut" and by instinct, rather than thinking and debating things through with advisers.

*Cheney is pulling the strings behind the scenes and almost always gets his way.

*Thinks Karl Rove and "Scooter" Libby deliberately lied to him regarding the Valerie Plame affair. And suspects Cheney might have some involvement.

*Thinks going into Iraq was not justified and that the Bush Administration misled Americans in the run-up to the war. Calls it "propaganda".

*Thinks White House press corps was was too easy before the war.

*It was Karl Rove's idea to do that infamous Air force One "fly by".

*Suspects Bush probably regrets going to war seeing how bad it's gone and even though he'd never admit it publicly.

I'm picking up a copy when it comes out Monday!

When did Air Force One do an "infamous" fly-by?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

Katrina, Air Force One was unable to land due to the relief aid in effect. Had Air Force One landed, relief flights would have been interrupted.
