    Small Turbo Prop with Engine Problems coming into LGA

    STATUS: OPEN/ACTIVE
    PROGNOSIS: ROUTINE OPERATION
    AVIATION - SMALL AIRCRAFT
    QU LAGUARDIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

    THE PORT AUTHORITY HAS ANNOUNCED A POSSIBLE IMPENDING CRASH SITUATION. FDNY AND FDNY EMS HAS TRANSMITTED A SECOND ALARM IN REGARDS AND HAS UNITS RESPONDING TO A STAGING AREA. THIS IS DUE TO A SMALL TURBO PROP PLANE THAT COULD CARRY UP TO 36 PASSENGERS WHICH IS EXPERIENCING ENGINE PROBLEMS.

    This was an hour ago...any developments?

    The plane landed safely and did not require assistance. I tried listening on the liveatc stream but there was a lot of static and I could not make out the callsign. Will try to listen to the archives. It landed shortly after 5pm.

    AS PER PA OEM, THE PLANE IN QUESTION HAS COMPLETED A SAFE LANDING AT LAGUARDIA AIRPORT AND ALL UNITS WILL BE LEAVING THE SCENE WITH THE EXCEPTION OF A MINIMAL AMOUNT OF EMS AS A PRECAUTION.
