This could be kind of fun & no more dirty girls!

A LAP dancing club is hoping its dancers will soon be able to perform in a shower booth.
The Purple Door, in Newcastle, wants to alter its licence so it can install the cubicle for use by scantily-clad dancers.

A local councillor has reacted angrily to the idea claiming it "pushes the boundaries" of decency.

But if the city council receives no objections the application will be automatically approved. It is believed to be the first such bid in the UK.

Labour city councillor Geoff O'Brien said if the idea was approved it would attract the wrong type of people.

"I have never heard of any other clubs with shower booths in the country so people looking for that will come flocking here.

"But we want to be known for our culture, not a party city for this type of entertainment.

"It pushes the boundaries, and begs the question what we will get next?"

The Purple Door declined to comment.
