    Airbus parent EADS wins major British tanker refueling deal

    LONDON: Airbus parent company EADS signed a contract Thursday worth up to 13 billion pounds (€16.7 billion; US$26.36 billion) to supply Britain with military tanker aircraft — the second major government contract for the company in as many months.

    EADS-led consortium AirTanker Ltd. and the British Defense Ministry said that Airbus will provide the Royal Air Force with 14 new aircraft based on the A330-200 widebody under the 27-year contract.

    European Aeronautic Defence & Space NV last month beat out its U.S.-rival Boeing for the US$35 billion contract to build refueling tankers for the U.S. Air Force. [Full Article]

    there's a shocker... :roll:
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    Maybe Boeing could lease their tankers..... :lol:
