    PHL 1/20

Went down to PHL on Sunday and dealt with the cold and wind to catch the US Air stuff.
Was glad to get the A330 in both old and new colors before they're all painted. Thanks Barry for the help and hospitality.

Great shots. The Champion 727 is a good catch. On a separate note, what's with this all white WN 737 -- is it from some temporary lease?

    Thanks guys

JZ1, that plane is formerly owned by Ford and I believe(maybe Alex can help) its the only one in those colors but is gonna be painted this year. Tommy, thats my favorite angle of the 757 with winglets. I think it looks like a bird of prey.

It sure is cold on Hog Island in the winter, isn't it? With the water right behind you, it sure gets nippy.

    Great shots, too.

I see you got 277 that came in as MAN and out as FRA. They had me outside for 3 and half hours straight unloading and loading that thing since it's such a quick turn. Both are our heaviest flights. I don't think I've ever been that cold in my life. I shook uncontrollably the rest of the day. By the end of the night I had the flu. I'm just starting to feel better today... Needless to say I hate 277, I cringed when I saw the photo :P

Edit: BTW, you are very lucky. Since that is our last 330 in the old livery. Should be going down in another week.

Thanks guys, Ron I guess I'll have to make a trip to LGA sometime now to catch some of those special schemes. PHLAPP, yea it was very cold that day, sorry you were stuck working. I couldn't wait to jump right back in the car after getting out for a shot. I was very happy to get the old colors, I didn't know it was going away that quickly so it makes me even happier now.

thanks for the champion shot,679 is the best flying 727 in the whole vip fleet.
The beehive hummm of the JT9D and GE CF680C2,the thunder of the JT8D-17,the rumble of the PW1830 and the high ,thin whine of the PW 545A are all music to my ears!
