MAXjet Launches Cargo Operations between US to UK

MAXjet Launches Cargo Operations 767-200ER Aircraft to Carry Freight Between US and UK
Friday November 9, 12:05 pm ET

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MAXjet Airways announces the launch of its MAXjet Cargo operations. MAXjet Cargo will offer 15,000 kilos of freight on each Boeing 767-200ER aircraft between London Stansted and the United States.
MAXjet currently operates all-business-class service between London Stansted and New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Each aircraft is configured with up to 102 seats. This limited number of seats and baggage allows MAXjet Cargo to offer highly competitive rates to existing and new freight customers.

“MAXjet's service philosophy is to provide a focused level of premium service at an affordable price,” states Bill Stockbridge, MAXjet President and CEO. “The launch of MAXjet Cargo is a natural progression for the award-winning, business-oriented customer service we have built over the past two years. MAXjet Cargo will offer our customers a cost-effective transatlantic freight service on the customer routes we operate.”

MAXjet Cargo is led by Tommy Greene, whose 20+ year cargo experience includes Shannon International Airport, Prime Express (in Scandinavia) as the Cargo arm of Pan Am and Pathfinder Air. He was also one of the founders of GSA International, the largest GSA in Ireland at the time. “Under Tommy’s leadership we expect the Cargo Division to provide terrific service and competitive rates,” continues Stockbridge. “Tommy’s international industry experience and customer focus will be critical in helping us grow cargo revenue while keeping costs low. Service and exceptional value are fundamental to the overall MAXjet promise.”

I would assume that 33,000 LBS of cargo would have an impact on fuel consumption and speed. Is MaxJet adjusting their schedules? I assume they would not adjust their fares to compensate for fuel, as the cargo would pay for that.
