732 combi...very cool. Is that the one where the cargo is in front and pax in back?

I've heard Alaska is gorgeous. Let us know how it is!

I've been to AK three times and was sitting on the cockpit of a 208GC when coming into Juneau. Nothing new.

You’re flying Alaska Transcon? Hmmmmm sorry to hear that. Most uncomfortable seats in the world, really bad buy on board meals, NO leg room, and overall very plain service if any. I'd never fly them coast to coast, you would have been better off code flying AA and codeshare from ANC onward. Btw Alaska doesn't have 732 combis anymore they are all gone, your prob fly a 734 combi.

I've flown AS transcon more times than on my fingers and toes. I'm perfectly fine with it. And when did they get rid of the 732 combi's?

    Alaska Ho?

    They have Ho's in Alaska?

Silly me--I am sure they do.....

I have to agree with Tommy though, CO would have been a better choice for the transcon.

As Tommy mentioned the Alaska 737-200 combi aircraft left the fleet.

Alaska began modifying some of its 737-400's to all-cargo or cargo-passenger configuration to replace its aging fleet of 737-200 Combi aircraft. The first of these aircraft entered service as a freighter in July 2006, while several 737-400 aircraft have been reconfigured to a fixed passenger/cargo configuration. Alaska retired five 737-200 aircraft in 2006. The last 737-200 was retired March 31, 2007.
In case you want to purchase the DVD:

New DVD Commemorates Alaska Airlines' 737-200 Combi Aircraft.

The 737-200 Combi may have flown into Alaska Airlines' history, but its legacy and the spirit of the men and women who operated it will live on in the form of a new documentary film produced by Captain Mac af Uhr.

The bonus disc ends with footage from the Combi's retirement flight and the gala banquet that followed.

The DVD retails for $30 and may be ordered online at http://www.worldairroutes.com
