    "New" 747SP Operator

Since many of you were interested in the Iran SP that visited for UNGA, thought it was worth mentioning that apparently sometime over the summer, Las Vegas Sands (a/k/a Sheldon Adelson a/k/a Interface Operations) picked up a former Dubai Amiri Flight SP, probably to shuttle bigshots between LAS and Macau. It's VP-BLK (former A6-SMR and originally TWA's N58201) and joins a 767 and an L-1011 in the LV Sands fleet.

Phil glad you thought this was as cool as I did, I guess Mr. A has GOT to be an enthusiast because who else would take on the cost of operating these classic widebodies? It would have been much more efficient to pick up a BBJ or two like his competitor Steve Wynn has.

In the unlikely event that anyone on here is a whale with a massive Sands comps balance, it would be great to see some interior pics or learn more about these birds esp. the SP and the TriStar (the 76 doesn't do it for me too common in comparison!).

BTW this is the TriStar N388LS, ex Saudi Royal Flight, might still be in Ardmore OK for mods:

I have about 3 points on my Venetian Players Club card, is that good for a ride on the SP? How about 10 losing hands of $5 blackjack? :borat:
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
