Wow 7 run 1st inning for the Marlins... Can someone sing... nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah nah, hey ey ey, goodbye! jk jk

Really is a shame that the Mets couldn't hang on that last month to take it and make it to the playoffs...

    Better luck next year guys!

I'm reminded of this quote from the late Bart Giamatti:

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone."

I remind you of a quote from Yogi Berra

"It ain't over till it's over!"

Season is 162 games. You got to play them all hard. Met's got complacent and paid for it. Oh well as Cub fans would say. Maybe next year!

It's funny how all of you laughed at the Yankees and being their fan at one of our spotting meets cough cough moose, John. Who's laughing now?

I guess Queens and other areas are in deep mourning, moose don't mourn too hard.

I know this is a Yankees/Mets thread, but it's the only current baseball thread, so...

We'll get 'em next year. As for me I won't be watching postseason baseball--on to football. I only hope the Yankees will be eliminated nice and early.

Let us never speak of this season again.
