Opening of the General Assembly is Tuesday, September 18th. There's a "high-level" event on climate change the following Monday, the 24th, but it's unclear if that's a head-of-government level gathering or not.

Yep, no date on POTUS arrival yet (not that I could tell you anyway)

Wouldn't spotting around that time be a bad idea?
Since the police be more touchy about spotting, I'd assume.

The next few weeks may be a little more intense with 9/11 anniversary next week (the first one falling on the
actual day, Tuesday) and the UN GA meetings. And now reports that Osama has a new video ready to be
broadcast. And dont forget the Jewish high holidays.

We were out at JFK last year and didn't have any problems, both at Costco (Firestone?) and the cargo plaza.

I'm hoping to make it up the 14/15. I haven't been up since the concorde retirement. :D

Don't worry, you may have eyes on you but as long as you aren't doing anything wrong or make sudden moves they will leave you alone. 8)

Hmm and not one of those things has to do with spotting...Please stop the paranoia...I'm me just PLEASE STOP!

As EMS said as long as you are doing nothing wrong, not in a place you don't belong you'll be fine. Maybe you'll get quesitoned but that can happen on any given day.

Why not. With security taken up to higher levels the airports and surrounding areas will get
    plenty of attention.

Re: United Nations General Assembly Arrivals

Last year when they all showed up for the talk-athon I was just getting in from Dubai, Dispatch messed up the hotel assignments and instead of going to Garden City, we went to Manhattan, we stayed at the Hilton.I would have gone home but the house was being renovated so there was no roof.So after getting settled the four of us go out to search for some food, we're walking along and since I was tired I said I was going to head back to the hotel, so about 3 hours later, the guys come back, we're talking and one of them goes"Oh yea, some famous guy was at our restaurant", so of course I as..."who?", and after looking at each other one says"Abdul...Abdill....no Abdulllah, Oh yea!! King Abdullah" Turns out they were sitting 3 tables away from the King of Jordan.

Any guesses on which aircraft will be coming? I might even go up there if the fares are reasonable enough.

Maybe something rare (for us in florida) like the Brunei, Air Zimbabwe?
