    Old School Car Help Needed

anyone know what kind of car this is:

my guess, a 50-something willy's. it's for sale, and needs some extensive work done but i'm really interested in buying it. i love old trucks, want to get a project car to restore on my own.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

As you thought, it looks alot like a '50s Willys based on this picture of a '57 model:

Good luck with that, where did you find it? I like the Karmann Ghias to the right...

Looks like it could be a sweet project. How much rust does it have? That is going to be your biggest challenge.

i'm not sure about the rust yet, haven't had a chance to speak to the owner yet. the guy's on vacation but once he gets back i will give it a good looksie and judge the severity of the project. i'll let you all know how it goes...

I'm digging that orange Ghia, my dad worked for VW in the '60s and '70s and they came in some groovy colors like that. Now everyone seems to buy black, silver, or grey cars that all look alike...BTW the Olds on the left (or is it a Pontiac?) would make a great low rider, check out the old school licence plate too, I think those are gone a couple of years now so that's been parked awhile.

Back then there wasn't a mirror on the right side...

Looks like there is a mount on the right-hand door for one, matching the driver side, just the mirror is missing from it.

I was joking but there was vehicles without right side mirrors.

If I'm not mistaken not many cars had right side mirrors before the late 80s, when the DOT began requiring them.

It is definitely a Willy's Jeep model. It would make a cool restoration. Of course Jeeps were real trucks in those days....
    It's the fares, stupid
