I love when I'm at the gym, and old people come up to me and run their mouth about how much they USED to lift. Now, all washed up, all they have to cling to is their past.

In the MLB, that old guy is the Yankees.

Yet the Yankees are only something like 0.015 Win PCT pts behind the Mets and only have one less win than them, in a league and division known to be much more difficult and challenging than the one the Mets are in... Must be nice when the "3rd place" team in your league is only a few points above .500.

Hypothetically speaking, if the Yankees were in the NL East, they would most likely be in first in not only the division but the entire NL.

So in reality, the Mets are like those guys in the gym who think they are so huge and walk around with their arms and chest out, only to be shown up by some ordinary looking guy who comes in and lifts much more than them...
