FOND DU LAC - The Wisconsin State Patrol said the pilot who landed his plane safely on a Fond du Lac highway Sunday evening was headed to an aviation show.

The pilot is identified as Bill Leff of Dayton, Ohio. Authorities say he and his son were traveling to the EAA AirVenture show in Oshkosh when he experienced engine problems about 7:45 p.m. Leff touched down on U.S. Highway 41, snarling traffic in both directions for hours.

No injuries were reported, but the plane's right wing was damaged when it hit several highway signs.

Holy crow. That's an amazing video, too. It would've been crazy to see that in person.
