Here's some shots of my trip to L.A. last week. I took a lot of shots and did a lot of stuff. I'll post the trip report later on today also.
The Disney building. Supposedly, one of the elves looks like he's peeing when it rains. Done as a joke by the architect.
Fabulous Hollywood!..... wasn't that fabulous.
Had breakfast down on the beach a bit north of Santa Monica. Awesome. :)
Later that day, down on the Santa Monica Pier. Not sure what this Harbor Patrol boat was doing spraying the water cannon.
Even later that day, down on Venice Beach. A short selection of the various "interesting" street acts.
Took a trip to the Reagan Library. I had the ISO set wrong the entire time. Bah. Seeing Air Force One was a nice treat.
The La Brea Tar Pits was a bust.
The cement impressions by the cast of Harry Potter done two nights before at the premiere.
About to get my ass kicked by Jackie Chan.
One day we took a drive down to Long Beach to tour the Queen Mary. That was pretty cool.
Down in the boiler room. Those gears were bigger than I am. And I'm 6'1". I wonder what could have gotten caught in there to leave such damage?
The very bottom of this massive ship.
There's a little room that juts out from the ship so you can see the propeller. Neat.
Up on deck
A panorama of Long Beach
Helllooo down there!
There's also a Russian sub there, the Scorpion.
Looking down a torpedo.
Lot's o' stuff to turn. :)
Then one day we drove up to Mount Wilson. Very nice view. Of the smog.
Then that night we went to the Bob's Big Boy for the cruise night. Some cool stuff, but it was too dark to take any good shots of the cars. This is a two second exposure. Not bad for a hand held, I'd say.
That's it. Thanks for watching.
