Great Romantic Beaches in Long Island

    Hi,
I was wondering where the best romantic beaches would be in Long Island to take someone to, beaches which are close to some attractions and great restaurants, and are kind of secluded and if possible private?

    any help would be appreciated
    thanks

No, no Phil. Fire Island has what YOU'RE looking for. Or, what's looking for you at least!

What's a romantic beach? Robert Moses? Jones? Neapeague?

Brighton Beach and Beach 116th on the Rockaways are all very romantic beaches... especially when school's out and during weekends... ;)

I've actually heard Montauk is really nice, although I've never been out that way...

Montauk is great but it is rediculously expensive for everything unless you want to drop a bucvh of cash. Snooky snooky now!! ;)

The beach at Montauk Point is pretty quiet. I'm thinking of taking a trip out there this summer.
