    Langley AFB, April 27-29

In case anyone is interested I have some pics from the Air Show at Langley AFB this past weekend.

It was a great show despite crummy weather on Friday and Saturday. The air show debut of the full Raptor Tac demo was awesome - it left me speechless!

The Thunderbirds were the headline act:

The F15-C from the West Coast Demo Team was excellent:

The real star of the show was Major Paul "Max" Moga in the F22 Raptor!

    The Heritage flight:

The F-18 Super Hornet Demo team at Mach .95 !!!

The static aircraft were excellent, here is an E-3 AWACS aircraft.

They actually let you walk around in this plane (and take pictures too). At each operational section they had one of the crew explaining what they do and how things work. Very cool! Oh, and we got to climb up to the cockpit of the B1-B as well.

Great set of shots! Airliners are nice, but nothing beats afterburners!

Hope we have that kind of weather next week for the McGuire open house.

Great shots! I'd love to see inside the BONE, I'm looking forward to the Jones Beach show. When is McGuire, they just had a C17 here picking up some stuff for our trip.

and that has made all the difference......yet...

Here are some pictures inside the B1-B. There was a fold down staircase behind the nose gear and it took you up into a small central area:

    Closer view of the cockpit:

There are two crew member stations, one on the left:

And one on the right, they have a fold down desk surface:

There was a compartment behind me (facing backward) that looked interesting so I took two photos - I don't know what it's used for...

Lastly, here is a view inside the bomb bay:

Hope this wasn't too many pictures...
