    Nikon D40x

does anyone here use the nikon D40x? i've got the D70 that has been upgraded to the D70s and am not really satisfied with it anymore. was looknig to upgrade to the cam to find something smaller, newer and simply better. also, if anyone is interested i'm considering to sell my D70s and possibly two lenses.

What lenses? And would you consider selling the lenses seperately?

thought about it, but i want something smaller. i know i'm going to take some flak for this but i'd rather fly than take pix, and do so more often. the D40 would fit me better, i want something smaller. for now it looks like i'll be selling the D70(s) and 18-70mm lense together.

The D40 is worse than the D70, just so you know. They went for the market under the D70/80.

how is it worse? the only downside is that it doesn't have an autofocus motor of it's own.

To my knowledge there aren't any SLRs significantly smaller than the D70. Maybe consider keeping the D70 for special occasions and get a small point-and-shoot for carrying around everyday.

I hear the upgraded sensor in the "x" is really good. Plus you get 10MP, a large viewer, and a compact size! You might miss the LCD display on top though.
