Hopefully not. NATO E-3's, perhaps this was one of them, did patrol NY airspace following 9/11. :?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

That's a sweet looking bird! As Matt stated lets hope those planes don't have to patrol our skies ever again.

I wasn't meaning to say that it would come here for a bad reason but possibly for an Air show or something.

John, perhaps you'd know, but is the radome (isnt that what you call the radar on top) not allowed to be repainted? Just wondering since it looks like its in the original colors.

That white spot is rain boot. It is used to protect the nose of the radome from erosion. That is a beautiful jet!

It might be at Langley this weekend or ADW next month.

It would be good to see it at McGuire though!

Mark! No heart attacks. Langley is NEXT NEXT NEXT weekend, the 28th and 29th. We had an RAF AWACS there last year with a special 90th anniversary scheme.
