When do most of these diversions occur? What time of day?
In loving memory of Casey Edward Falconer
May 16, 1992-May 9, 2012
Summertime diversions can, of course, happen at any time, but the two most common reasons are fog and thunderstorms. With the typical weather in the Northeast, fog tends to develop in the hours just surrounding sunrise (air temp at the lowest, approaching the dewpoint), and thunderstorms flare up in the late afternoon when all of the energy stored in the form of heat and humidity needs to go somewhere. Divvos due fog happened this morning at JFK when LAN went to IAD, SA and TG went to Newark, a DL 772 went to Boston, an AA 762 went to Buffalo, and lots of JetsBlue went to BDL and ACY.

ATA DC-10 from JFK going to CLE
There is no one to take me to the airport to go see that beauty. :(
Jet Blue A320s from LGB and BUR.
The ATA DC-10 is on her way back from CLE and I learned via Phil that the aircraft is N702TZ.
I was really hoping on catching her but I should have known by her 1:30am arrival time that she was probably going to go out very early in the morning and it turns out a 2:30am departure to DFW is planned.
Oh well.

Goodbye American Eagle, so long. Stewart will not be the same without you! Never again will I fly out of SWF! I wish I could see AA at Stewart again, but no more! Glad I was there to see the last flight leave, after all, I was on the very first flight.

"We know why you fly"
N31TR is now airborne on it's way in from LGA. eta somewhere around 1930L. too bad she didn't leave an hour ago...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
I believe she is based at SWF?Originally Posted by cancidas
