    Elephants in the streets of Manhattan

    For those who don't know, the circus is in town at the Garden. The circus travels by train, which they keep in Queens and then bring stuff from there. The elephants, and a couple of other animals, are walked through the Midtown tunnel and crosstown on 34th St. to the Garden, like they just did Tuesday night/Wed. morning:

    Great catch Phil! I've always wanted to get out to see this, but never remember until it's too late :(

    Hey, I musta walked right by you! I walked from MSG to 34th and Lex that night, and watched the Elephants from there!

    I first staked out a spot on 34th between Madison & Lex, and once the whole procession had passed started jogging west to get ahead for more photos.
