    A380 Departure 3/20 Review (w/pics of course)

    Hi everyone,

Just a small turn out today for the A380 departure at 11:20am...there were only about 7 or 8 of us! I guess it's cuz most everyone was working or unable to take off work. If it's any consolation to those individuals, I have the first ever departure shot of the A380 in America recently accepted to jetphotos.net...take a look:

She sure took off early!! Probably had hardly any or no pax at all...likewise for fuel haha. Sorry many of your couldn't make it, but perhaps more people will be out tomorrow for the 2nd departure and 3rd arrival. 8) Cheerio!

    Congrats. Great shot.

So JP is accepting A380 photos as hot uploads? Anet isn't.

Great shot Josh! Phil that's correct. JP.net decided we'd take the A380 in the US as a hot photo being its such a large news event. Anet isn't....

Excellent shot! Which runway was the 380 taking off from? Which spot were you when you take this picture?

haha thanks guys, i appreciate it...the shot was taken from Howard Beach, for those who were asking.

as per your comment senor derner -- yes! i am a lucky kid...it just so happened that on the last day of spending part of my spring break w/my family in L.A. the A380 came. it arrived at 9:20am, and my flight was at 12pm to JFK...somebody up there loves me :P

Heres a few shots from today of the A380 departure from 31L. The A380 gave us a awsome bank and almost went level right after take off. Unfortunatly he ended up cutting us off as he passed right next to us.
Tom, John Toomey, Conrad it was great to se you all as always. It was nice to finally meet Josh may and Rich from Atlanta)
I'll be leaving to head back to Orlando tonight. Cyall in 1-2 months!

    I love the A380.

    NIce shots guys, WOW!

I love the camber of that wing!! Sexy!! (hope camber is the right word I am looking for)

Yes, I had mixed thoughts. It was not the first upload of the plane at a new airport. Yet it was the first arrival in all of the Americas. And it's not priority on certain sites. Interesting.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
