Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

I am planning on being there for the departure and arrival. Hearing conflicting reports about the scheduled times. I thought it was leaving around 1000 but sources here are saying 0845. I hope it's the latter, will continue investigating.

It looks like I won't be able to get to NY tomorrow as planned.

I hope that everyone that goes to JFK has a great time tomorrow, and gets some great shots! :)

Okay folks after a little more research looks like an 0900 departure and 1030 arrival. Also I would have expected it would arrive/depart from T1 but it will actually be Hangar 19. Hope to see some of you in the morning !

Oh, I just realized I have off tomrrow. Slight chance I might come with the family.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

When listening to tower Conversation today. They had mentioned that the A380 would be doing two Media flights on Wednesday. I am not sure what time the second flight is.

so if it's at Hangar 19, would Howard Beach (spot C) be best? It looks like I can get there on the A train pretty easily. Guess I'll just hope for a 31L departure.

(any bets on what runway she'll use? I guess I could take the A to Far Rockaway and head toward Bayswater as well, if it looks like a 13R departure.)

Yes, this is true. You can make either location from the A Train, but allow for alot of time walking in both instances.

Call ATIS JFK before leaving to give yourself the best chance.

Based on forecasted NE winds I predict JFK will be on the 4's this morning.

Hey guys. I am in the process of getting ready to leave my house to fly up to JFK. I got the day off from work and am skipping my two classes today to see this thing. Bad news is, it's gonna be freakin done with its flying for the day before I even get there. We were scheduled in at 10:45am and now as I'm sitting here at home, we're already delayed 1 hour and 15 min. So now we're estimated in at noon. So pretty much pointless for me to come up but I wanna fly so I'm on my way. I doubt I'll see any of you all but get some good shots! Have fun!

They are on juliet using the 31s so you guys should be gold for the deaprture. If they were using the 4s that would have been tough. Coming back after the short flight on 31R will be tricky with the light around 10:30-11 I would rather have 22L again. Good luck all.
