    Spotting at FDF 3/17/2007

Currently I am in Fort-de-France, Martinique which is the capital of the country. I got here yesterday and while swimming in the pool saw a Corsair 747-400 and an Air France 777-300ER on final into the airport which is named Lementin. I decided to go out today with my dad to the airport for an afternoon of spotting.

I wanted to catch the Corsair, Air Caraibes A330-200, and Air France 777-300ER. When I got out to the airport we found a spot at the end of the runway which reminded me of St.Marteen. I saw a lot of ATR's and unfortunatley I missed the Air France because it was very delayed and the Corsair was delayed 3 hours but came before sunset.

Hope you enjoy the pics and hope you guys are enjoying the snow I hear you got.

Nice shots, but I would try a slower shutter speed for those props...
    Shoot first, ask questions later.

Just thought I should mention I drove past the airport today on the way back from the beach and saw the Air France 777-300ER as well as the Corsair 747-400 and Air Caraibes A330-200. When I got back to my hotel and was in the pool I saw the second daily ORY-FDF flight that runs on Sundays on approach.

    Haha - I wouldn't have been swimming :P

One thing that confuses me - usually you don't see Delta 738s and Air France A320s at the same airport ... ??

Air France has 1 A320 based in the Caribbean flying between FDF, PTP, CAY, and MIA.

Wow, that's cool, I had no idea. Interesting that they fly into MIA as well :)
