"Keep 'em Flying"
I saw them, as well. I kept waiting for a post to show up explaining why they were here. It was very difficult to listen to my boss talk while there are four a-10s flying around outside the window behind her.
saw then fly over my house. was outside in the backyard working on something. heard them, looked up and as they passed overhead my brother started bitching that i of course pay attention to airplanes over what we were working on, until i pointed out they were indeed A-10s...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Ha ha ha (throws brick) "get to work bitch!"
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
They were most likely from the CT ANG or Barnes ANG returning from the range in Jersey. I have caught them maybe 4-5 times since last summer, heading home from the range over LI.

Heading home from the Warren Grove range in NJ. On there way back up to CT or MA, you will occasionally see them over LI. No range on LI as you all know, otherwise we would all be there now.

yeah all LI has is some H-60's and 130's, I mean, who would be interested in those.
Wait, what? :)
Nick, I make the stop at Westhampton Gabriski Field everytime I go out to the hamptons in the summer. It's too far of a ride from the city for me, unless it is also involves a weekend of party out East :D
