Will anyone be at Farmingdale for the air show instead of on the beach?
Because I've heard that it isn't the best shooting location, b/c there are alot of drunks and backlitness is a problem.
Will the B-1 be flying out of Farmingdale?

I think a bunch of us will do both - one day at FRG, one day at the beach. Didn't have any problem with drunks the last two years at the beach. Yes, lighting can be challenging, but that's part of the fun

The B-1 will be flying out of JFK.

I still haven't figured out how I'm going to do things this year; last year I did one day (Saturday) at FRG and the other (Sunday) at the beach. I was over by the Home Depot when I was at FRG, and it seemed like most everything was using 1/19 so the most I could do was watch. The Blue Angels took off from 14 and landed 32, so we had a nice view as they taxiied. There were about 7-10 people along the fence there for most of the day, which a much larger crowd developing when the Angels come 'round.

Here are a few more from today...

Editted to add: As the C-17 was approaching, they mentioned that during the A-10 production days, both C-5s and C-141s flew into FRG, so I guess that rumor was in fact true!

I believe they usually do a Statue of Liberty photo shoot, so I'd imagine they'd fly somewhere around Downtown, and maybe Midtown...
    When do they do that?

The word I got was they will do two practice flights on Thursday, around 10am & 2pm, nothing on Friday. Most of the other participants will be practicing on Friday.
