    727 Amerijet at LGA Today

I was at LGA this morning for about an hour and spotted this as I was just about to head home. As I was watching it's approach I was looking at the engines and thinking "that aint an MD"! Then I saw the engine in the center of the tail and yelled in the parking lot "That's a 727"! When I did that I figured someone was gonna call the cops! Was great to watch this approach and land on 31. This is the first 727 that I've photographed.

Nice one!!! Glad you got it.

I wonder why LGA is getting a cargo aircraft. They don't really have facilities for that do they?

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

they fly a parabola, accelerate nealy vertically then push over and decend just as steeply. that attitude, just at the top of the parabola gives you a few seconds of weight-lessness. you can do the same thing in any airplane as long as you fly it right!

by the way, the 727 decended from 27200 25400 feet in 1 minute, and then from 35000 to 25600 also in only 1 minute. somebnody was defiantely having more fun than me today!

What a lucky catch! Nice bank shot!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Wow, really glad you were able to get that plane! Not enough people catch 727s in the Expressway Visual bank!! Good work!

Thanks! And thanks for the explanation of the zero G. I forgot about the weightlessness thing. I thought that NASA was the only one that did that.
