    Exchanging Foreign Currency

If I have, for example, money from Afghanistan, can I go to the regular currency exchange at the airport to get American dollars for it?

I know nothing about the process, so I was hoping someone could help me out.

    Thanks.

The Travel Exchange booths will exchange most currency, there are also places in Manhattan...

One company, Travelex, can exchange foreign currency as well

Yes you can Phil but the lint in your pants pocket is worth more then the Afgan dollar.
