New Delta Special Colors: Habitat for Humanity

I was doing a little south ops photographing tonight with another photog and on the way back we noticed an unusual tail inside the Delta TOC paint hangar. We decided to pull in and take a closer look.....there sat N171DZ (763) in special colors for Habitat for Humanity. Nice surprise!

Scheme is almost exactly like Breast Cancer Awareness....except for the tail being all blue with Habitat logo and the colors being a Maxjet-ish purplish blue and navy (not pink!). Below the Delta logo is "Force for Global Good" in the usual Delta special livery script (think Soaring Spirit). Mx guys said that it was supposed to be out tonight at 7pm...but was running behind. Should be out on the line tomorrow morning. I got some shots....decent enough to upload but I might hold off until tomorrow morning when I'll try to get her in daylight.

Rich first I had heard of this, scheme sounds great but sounds like a poor choice of aircraft as an Intl 763 will spend most of her timing crossing the Atlantic and not touring the U S of A the way 610DL does. Should have been put on a 757 so more could see her. At least she will be a very regular visitor at JFK.

I will start the comments going, nice scheme but for me the light blue is to light, a more medium blue would have looked nicer, just my two cents. Thanks Delta for another special scheme !

Wow, I like that a lot.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

why is the reverser a different color from the rest of the cowling? looks odd...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

According to a DL employee on a.net today (Sat's) plan was ferry ATL-MCI, then MCI-FLL (Kansas City Chiefs Charter) then extra-section FLL-ATL and RON in ATL. Sunday ATL-SCL. Hope this helps.

wow, what a great looking scheme. DL has done great! 2 killer color schemes, back to back!
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.
