it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
What a shot to be envious of.. Where did you take that Matt?
Senga
that is a nice shot! i think they might see it as too dark, so maybe play with levels.
WOW! ummm... I can't get photos uploaded to Jetphotos.net, so I will
just sit hear drooling at this picture for a few more minutes.... Bravo, I
love the lit nose.
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Can you email me the picture at [email protected] ?
If you want to take a crack at editing it yourself, try a workflow if you havn't done much editing:
For workflows try:
http://www.jid.me.uk/workflow/
http://rockymountainavphotos.com/Eric/workflow.html
I find Rockymountain's workflow a lot more easier to follow, but once you get the hang of it, try checking out Jid's workflow.
But please send me that photo so I can try to edit it myself, I can always use practice.
Also, if you havn't done much photo editing, once your done editing it, you might want to sent it to jp.net first and see if they accept it. It would also be nice to know the reasons for rejection from a.net
nwa FOREVER!
I am on a work monitor Matt here but at first the lighting looks like it could be a factor, it looks like it was to your right and not behind you. If you had let the aircraft pass you and get more light hitting the fuselage it may have been better. What was the rejection reason?
'My idea of a good picture is one that's in focus and of a famous person doing something unfamous.' Andy Warhol
Matt it’s a great shot but overall the light kills it, making it soft overall plus it looks out of focus towards the rear, did you try to correct that by sharpening it? The cheat lines look like it was over sharpened. If you could have been on the other side at that same angel you would have had a winner since that is where your light was.
I'd try levels as well. Great shot Matt, is that the same bird usually parked at ...Santa Monica?
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Yeah, the levels were off, with a quick touch up of levels I produced this:
That photo is just awesome though! I Love it!
