Due to depart for KLAX at around 1520. As of now a 13R departure. Very shootable.

Re: For the Trump 727-100 watchers

I'm guessing because of the fuel load needed for LAX combined with the 90 plus degree temps in NYC the JFK leg was for weight and balance reasons. The crew probably ferried over, put on the required fuel for a Transon, and then waited for DT to arrive from probably Manhattan. I have witnessed several LAX bound departures of BDJ off 13 at LGA where it used more than 6000 feet of runway to get airbourne on days cooler and less humid than Thursday.

I noticed that N76DT once in a while files flight plans to ACY, but does is it actually going to ACY or is it landing on the helipad at the Taj Mahal? I'm going to be in Atlantic City next week and I'd love to get it.

i wouldn't be surprised if they file for ACY because the helo pad doesn't have an official FAA identifier. most likely the pilots will cancel IFR and make a visual approach into the pad if possible. if they can't legally do it then they might just end up at ACY.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

VP-BDJ is on her way back to JFK, due to curfew closure of LGA tonight, 29 July. 0225L the ETA.

on an interesting side note, N218JT was also in LAS and is currently enroute to OMA. i'll leave you figure out who the airplane belongs to. here's a hint, she replaced a G-IIB. http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N218JT

I know who 218JT belongs to but for those who I have not guessed yet it looks like OMA was just a fuel stop and if you looked where ended up it's a really good clue to who she belongs to.

I am off today but picked up some friends this morning at LGA and Trump was their so he must had the crew stay with the airplane at JFK then bring it over when LGA opened. I heard a few Airbusses over my place this morning on the right base to 22 LGA but I guess I managed to sleep thru the 727, looking at below went right over my hood !

As I was leaving last night I'm just getting up onto the Belt coming out of Federal Circle and sure enough guess what passes over my head going into 13L. Any guesses why he came into JFK this early?

If you click on the above map you can see BDJ was holding for a while over NW Penn, due to volume at LGA. I am guessing due to fuel they needed to divert and JFK was accepting arrivals when LGA was not.

The ferry to LCQ is very interesting. A limted amount of contract MTC is done there but a large amount of airliner painting is done their. I have a funny fealing BDJ may return from LCQ wearing a new coat of paint.

Well BDJ is back home at LGA, hard to tell if she was repainted in LCQ or not, could not get that close enough and she is in the same scheme. However the tail and fuselage both seemed really shiny. Perhaps we will get a closer look at Kids Day.
